The Lower Mekong Public Policy Initiative (LMPPI) at the Fulbright Economics Teaching Program (FETP or Fulbright School) is now accepting applications for a fully-funded technical training course on project appraisal. This two-week course is designed specifically for government officials, professionals from the private or non-profit sector, and researchers from universities or research organizations across the Lower Mekong Basin (LMB) who are responsible for formulating and analyzing public investment proposals. The course will provide participants with the theoretical principles and the practical applications of project appraisal. Upon completing the course, participants will have gained the knowledge and skills necessary for conducting financial and economic assessments and will understand the importance of social, political, and regulatory issues in shaping development projects.
The course will be conducted at the Fulbright School in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam from November 28 to December 09, 2016. Instructors and speakers are from the Fulbright School, Duke University, and renowned regional and international experts. The language of instruction is English.
Government officials serving in provincial and central government agencies, professionals at local and international non-governmental organizations, university lecturers, and others with a strong interest in project appraisal and investment analysis are encouraged to apply. The Lower Mekong Public Policy Initiative (LMPPI) particularly welcomes applications from women, members of minority groups, and individuals from underrepresented regions.

Please note that the course recruitment operates on a rolling admission basis and based on professional achievement and organizational responsibility. Enrollment will end when the class reaches full capacity, which may be before the application deadline.
